HOEMANA CANOE CLUB

Hoemana aspires to provide training to youth and adults in Hawaiian outrigger canoe racing while encouraging its members to appreciate the important historical perspectives the area offers.

About Us

The principal purposes of the Club are: to engage in, promote, encourage participation in, and provide education and instruction in Hawaiian and Polynesian culture through canoeing and other related activities; to preserve the art, culture, science, and tradition of Hawaiian koa outrigger canoes; to encourage, maintain, and perpetuate authentic Hawaiian outrigger canoe racing; and, to revive Hawaiian historical perspectives and cultural protocols as these relate to paddling and outrigger canoes.
